I am glad to find this website. I am trying to find out who the parents are of Wade Hampton Adams. He is my great great grandfather. He was born in Darlington County, SC in 1821 and died in 1895 and is buried in Hacoda, Al at Old Sardis Cemetary. He and two brothers ran away from home and went to Pike County, Al. His brothers were John Needham Adams and Wiley Charles Adams. Nothing more is known about Wiley, but Needham married Nancy Simmons and moved to Tallassee, Al where they have family there to this day. Wade Adams married Martha Simmons and had two sons and a daughter. Sadly Martha and the baby, Ellen died 7 weeks after her birth-on the same day. Wade remarried Martha Skinner and moved to Covington County, Al, where they had 12 more children, and they have some family members there to this day. After Wade died in 1895, Martha moved to Texas where she stayed to her death and some of her children have family members who are still there. If anyone has any information about Wade Hampton Adams I would really appreciate you sending it to me. Have a nice day.
Meloney, It's so good to hear from you! I manage memorials for Find A Grave, and I did find your Wade Hampton Adams there. Here is his memorial with pictures and a lot of information along with family links to other memorials too. Hope this helps and keep me posted on the progress. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GScid=25198&GRid=30493846& xoxo -Sarah

Genealogy: (from Greek: genea, "generation"; and logos, "knowledge") is the study of families and the tracing of their lineages and history. Specially names and dates of ancestors.
